Preliminary Program Information
5th Annual Meeting of the Midwest Primate Interest Group will be hosted by Dr. Judith Corr corrj@gvsu.edu of the Department of Anthropology at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
Friday October 9th from 5:00-7:00pm we will have a roundtable focusing on the topic of Ethics in Field and Captive Research. Roundtable participants include Julienne Rutherford, Francine Dolins, Robert Horwitch, Kathy Wagner, and Paul Garber. Friday we will have a reception from 7:00- 9:00pm directly following the workshop.
Saturday Oct. 10th will be papers and posters (see abstract submission instructions).
Saturday during our group luncheon Dr. Robert W. Sussman will receive the MidWest Primate Interest Group’s 2009 Distinguished Primatologist Award and present a lecture on Rethinking Sociality and Cooperation in Primates
Saturday Evening – Farewell Reception at the home of Judith Corr.
